Have wondered for years on the name of this movie.  All I remember is that at the end, a man has to climb a cliff before his maiden love, who's face is covered, is executed with a bow and arrow.  He doesn't make it in time, but finds out that his maiden's mother actually takes her place and is shot with the arrow instead of his maiden love.

The film was called "Against A Crooked Sky" (1975) and he was actually tring to rescue his sister who had earlier been kidnapped by the Indians.
