Classic Film/The Blue Rose or The Black Rose

Question
It was a fantasy or a mythology type movie.  I think that Tyrone Power or someone who looks like him was the star. The main character had to go through maybe 7 doors or quests or levels to get to the blue/black rose.  My husband and I both remembered this movie from our childhood but no one else ever heard of it. We are in our mid 50's. It was made at least in the 50's or earlier. The rose was under a glass container.  Can you help me with just this information? Thanks

Answer
Hello again Deb,

I've continued to look for the other film for you and, yes, I've found it!

It was a 1961 Italian fantasy-adventure film, starring Steeve Reeves as Karim, called "The Thief Of Bagdad".

A riddle must be solved to begin the journey of the 7 Gates which will lead to the magical Blue Rose: 'Begin in the East, through the door that is not there.'  Then follows a series of adventures with walking trees, a flying horse, boiling lava, floods and a cloak of invisibility. At the end, the blue rose is destroyed, so he takes a white rose and says to the Princess Amina, "If you love me, this will turn blue?" She replies, "Yes, Karim, it's a blue rose," and then the white rose turns blue.
