Question
I can remember watching a film on tv in hte late 60s the story was about an old lady remenicing about the children she cared for as a nanny/governess and how she loses the love of her life because she will not leave the children in her care the film ends where she is reunited with all the children she has cared for. I hope you can give me an answer

Answer
Hi Daveg,

I'm pretty sure that the film you're describing (one of my favorites), is the 1951 "The Blue
Veil" starring Jane Wyman, among others.  This "three-handkerchief" film is a remake of an earlier French film.

Unfortunately, it hasn't been available on VHS, DVD as yet , due to some legal litigation.

For a complete (and very LONG) synopsis of the plot, go to:

And you can also find info on Google.
