Question
When I was little I had a VHS move that was about toys coming to life at christmas. there was a stuffed tiger, a mouse, and they go downstairs to the tree and they open a present with a doll in it. The toys sing and I just wish I remembered the name..

Answer
Thank you for your interesting question. It would help me to answer if you could provide some firm information, such as an actor's name. Without much more to go on, I can only guess. The film you may recall could be the Walt Disney film, Babes in Toyland.

Annette Funicello plays Mary Contrary and Tommy Sands plays Mary's fiancee Tom Piper in this Disney holiday classic. As Mary and Tom's wedding approaches, evil schemer Barnaby hatches a plot to drown Tom, and steal Mary's sheep in an effort to get her to marry him. Unfortunately for Barnaby, the two henchmen he ordered to kill Tom lose their nerve, kidnap him instead and sell him to a band of gypsies, from whom Tom is able to escape. When Mary discovers Tom is alive, she and the children of the village strike out to find him and succeed. But before they can get back to their village, they must make their way through a dark forest, help a toymaker in Toyland make enough toys for Christmas and defeat Barnaby.

Please let me know if you can recall some more firm information.

Sincerely,
David W. Menefee
