Expert: Mel - 3/30/2008

Question
There were 2 old movies I watched when I was little(back in 50's or early 60's)  One was about an atomic bomb being dropped and in the end all streets were bare with newspapers blowing around and the song Waltzing Matilda was playing.
The other was about a white man going to either Hawaii or Tahiti and falling in love with an island princess.  In the end she sacrifices herself by throwing herself into the erupting volcan.  If you could give me the titles to these two movies I would be grateful.

The first one was "On The Beach" (1959), which starred Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner and Fred Astaire.
