I hope you can help me learn the name of a movie that had a child mistakenly think he killed his friend(maybe his brother?) while hanging out with a group. The other kids had made it seem as though the boy was covered with blood, but I think it was only Ketchup? The child then runs away...that's all I remember.

That sounds like the 1953 film "Little Fugitive", in which young Joey runs away to Coney Island after he is tricked into believing he has killed his older brother. Joey collects empty glass bottles and turns them into money, which he uses to ride the rides.
