   I remember as a small child watching and loving many of the old black and white movies, the trouble is that I can not remember the titles.
  The first one that I REALLY want to find has something to do with a company drilling for Oil, I think, only they hit some very hard rock, so they bring in a Nuke to blast through the rock, only it starts a crack in the earth that eventualy doubles back on it's self and a larg piece of the earth ends up floating into space.
   Movie number 2, and this one might actually be an old T.V. show, but a military base was testing a new bomb, when a plane crashed near the test site, when one of the test crew ran out to help the survivors, the bomb exploded and he wound up growing into a giant.

The other film is probably "The Amazing Colossal Man" from 1957.

"Lt. Col. Glenn Manning is inadvertently exposed to a plutonium bomb blast at Camp Desert Rock. Though burned over 90% of his body, he survives, and begins to grow in size. As he grows, his heart and circulatory system fail to keep pace with his growth, and he is gradually losing his mind as a result of reduced blood supply to his brain. He reaches 50 feet tall before his growth is stopped. By this time he has become insane. He escapes and wreaks havoc upon Las Vegas before he is finally stopped."
