Question
QUESTION: I remember watching black & white comedy movie of a ghost.
I thought it was Canterbury Ghost, but it does not have the same part in it I am looking for.
In one part this ghost is up on the door facing when someone comes in the room he gets scared and falls to the floor. I have been searching many years for this movie.
Any help I would appreciate it.
Thanks

ANSWER: Hi Lois,

I've been trying to locate your "ghost" movie,......but am afraid that with so little to go on,...have been unsuccessful.

If you can possibly remember any other scenes, or story lines, maybe I can come up with
the film.  Any idea when the movie might have been made, or who was in it ?

Sincerely,

Jim K

QUESTION: Jim
I am sorry
I just cannot remember I just know he was afraid, I am sure it was a British maybe around 1939 or later. I am going to look for the old Canterbury ghost movie in black & white and watch it to see if it could be that, maybe when they made it in color they change some things.
I don't know.
Thank you for you e-mail.
Lois

Answer
Hi again Lois,

I happened to think of a British "ghost" film made back around 1936, called "The Ghost Goes West", starring a well known English actor of the time, Robert Donat.

If this is the film you were thinking of, it's available on DVD at Amazon.com
