Question
Hi,
The film I'd like to know the name of is a black and white movie.  I don't know
the year.  There is a woman in the film that gets a phone call that she is
going to die and has a certain amount of time before she will die.  She spends
almost the entire film on the phone.  I watched it a long time ago and forgot
how it ends or gets resolved.  Have any ideas?

Thanks,
Maggie

Answer
Hi Maggie,

Yes, I know that film, and remember it well.    It's a classic "suspense" film from 1948, called "Sorry, Wrong Number".

Originally presented on radio in 1943 or 44,  as a one -woman show,  with the famous character actress,  AgnesMoorhead,...it was only a 30 minute program, crammed with suspense.

In 1948, it was made into a full length film starring Barbara Stanwyck as the bedridden hyprochondric,...who doesn't suspect Who is going to commit a murder,...and Who is the victim.  It co-starred Burt Lancaster.

Go to Google for more info, and get a good synopsis of the film at:

You can buy it at :  www.amazon.com    for under $10.00.
