i saw a movie many many years ago..black and white film.
begins with a the leading lady on a train the train stops in a small town and the lady sets up a stand and begins to sell her clothes out of her suitcase.  later on in the movie she opens a clothing store and her signature is a rose of some sort and she places it on every box when sending out her clothing. eventually she meets a man and falls in love, he seems to be a rich oil man.  

that is all i can remember.  i have been looking for this movie for about 20 years.

i would love to be able to see it again.

I'm not certain, but I think the film you're describing may be the 1955 film, "Lucy Gallant"
starring  Jane Wyman and Chareton Heston.

to see if this was the film you want.

The only other similar one might be "Back Street"- 1961,...with Susan Hayward,...but I doubt it.
