I want to find the name of movie where a girl was in some kind of trouble and had to hideout. She hid out with and orchestra and end up flirting with main character who I thought was played by Danny Kaye. Although I looked through some of his movies and can not find one like this. I also remember she would kiss him on the back of the neck and it would send him for a loop almost comical in response. I would appreciate your help.

Sorry I didn't get to your question sooner,but I've been on a trip, and am now just checking in, in Paris!

I think the film(s) you're talking about IS a Danny Kaye film, the 1948 comedy musical, "A Song is Born",..also starring Virginia Mayo.   It's a remake of a 1942 comedy , which starred Gary
Cooper and Barbara Stanwyk;...and the "orchestra" was originally a group of professors.
