Question
I know this is kind of a vague discription, but I started watching this movie one sunday, and had to go to work so I couldn't finish it. The movie was proabably 50's or 60's.. and it started off with this lady in a therapist's office talking about how unhappy she was because she was worth so much money. Then it went to her life with her first husband, who owned some kind of store and made a huge success of it, and she was so unhappy because she never saw him. Then her next husband was some kind of artist, and his paitings ended up being worth a fortune, so then she had all of that money, and that was when I had to leave to go to work. This movie was on TCM, and it was about a year ago, and it has drove me crazy not knowing what it was so that I could find that movie to finish it. The lady in the movie was a big name, and is still a realitively known name.

Answer
Hi Travis,

Yes,...I know exactly what film you're talking about !  It's always been one of my favorite comedies/with music, since I first saw it back in 1964.  It's 20th Century Fox's lavish all-star
film,  "What A Way To Go!"  starring  Shirley MacLaine.  Her husbands,.. (who all die and leave her money),...were played by Dick Van Dyke, Paul Newman, Robert Mitchum, Gene Kelly, and
finally Dean Martin (who lives.)   There are wonderful "dream sequences" in which Shirley imagines what life with each of her new husbands would be  like.

For the Complete story, go to:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_a_Way_to_Go!

It's also available on DVD for about ten bucks at Amazon.com
