Classic Film/Sidney Poiter film No Way Out

Question
Towards the very end of this film, Poitier is in a scuffle with bad guy Richard Widmark.  Poitier is shot.  Linda Darnell comes to him and says something like "Are you hurt?" He answers, "Not bad.  My shoulder."  Then he says something totally incomprehensible to my husband and me that sounds like "maybe my shoe lekket".  We have listened to it over and over for 20 years or more and even viewed the screenplay transcript at someplace in Los Angeles years ago.  It was not in the transcript so did he just make a mistake?  Do you know what he said? Or how we can find out?  Many thanks.

Answer
Rita...

Well, I have been over the thing with every way I know to do it, and I hear him saying something too... but I have no idea what it is... maybe he is trying to say "my shoulder" again and is succumbing to the pain or something...

Don't know what else to tell you there...

Sorry...
