Question
Hi,

When I was a child, in Romania we don't see to many movies. But one Saturday, we have a surprise: the national television aired a movie in black and white about a haunted English castle, who is bought by an American couple, who ordered to be moved stone by stone in USA. One of the family kid met the ghost, an old funny men. But they aired only the first half. The second...I still wait for more than 30 years to see haw this movie ends. The last image from the movie that I sought was the sheep with whom the castle it was transported over Atlantic. I hope you could help me find this movie's title. Thank you very much!

Answer
Hi Annie,

Thanks for your question.  I'm not sure if the film I remember is the same as the one you're looking for.
I, too, saw a film as a child , about a haunted Scottish castle being dismantled and sent by boat to the U.S.   ( However, I don't recall a kid in it meeting a funny old ghost; THAT sounds like ANOTHER similar film called "The Canterville Ghost", made in 1944 by MGM, and remade many times.)
The film I think you may be looking for is "The Ghost Goes West", a British film made in 1936.  If you want more information on it, go to:

It's available ( on VHS or DVD)  at:   www.Amazon.com
