Question I am trying to locate a DVD if possible of the movie "Where I Live" which was made somewhere between 1947 and 1951. It has the music "The Dream of Olwyn" on it. I'm pretty sure it is a thriller. Can you tell me where I can find this?
Answer Hello Rosemary,
The correct title is "While I Live". It was made in 1947. When re-issued in the UK it was re-titled "The Dream Of Olwen". Unfortunately, although it was issued on VHS some years ago, it is not currently available on DVD.
STORY OUTLINE: Cornwall in the early 20's. A young pianist/composer, Olwen Trevelyan, troubled and sleepless over her inability to finish the final notes of her composition, falls to her death from the clifftop. As the years pass, Olwen's sister Julia obsessively keeps Olwen's memory alive in the family home. The young composer gains posthumous fame because of her tragic death and her haunting, unfinished composition, "The Dream of Olwen." Twenty-five years later, on the anniversary of Olwen's death, the family gathers to listen to a radio broadcast of "The Dream." Suddenly, a young woman bursts into the room, sits down at the piano, and begins playing along with the music. Claiming to have lost her memory, the young woman is cared for by the obsessed Julia, who comes to believe she is the reincarnation of her dead sister.
Glad to be of help. Cheers........Mel.
