do you know the name of an older movie, possibly circa early 60's, whose story was about a woman becoming a nun who shed her habit at the feet of a statue of Mary because she had fallen in love.  Mary then assumed a human  persona and donned the discarded habit?  Eventually the woman returns to the convent.  Thank you so much for any help you can give.

That's the 1959 Warner Bros. production, "The Miracle", which starred Carole Baker as the postulant nun and Roger Moore as the soldier she falls in love with.
