Question
QUESTION: the start of this movie is where 2 people just keep having accidental meetings and finally after the last encounter he offers to take the lady home. she then claims to live in a fancy apartment building and then even claims to live in a specific apartment. the irony is that the man she kept running into actually lives in the building and in the exact apartment. he decides to go along with the lie and she even moves in to make it even more convincing.

ANSWER: Good day, Mimi!
I apologize for the delay in answering your question. (I wanted to be sure I had all of my facts straight. :0) )
The film you are looking for is "That Funny Feeling". It was made in 1965 and stars  Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin. As a side note, the leading couple were married in real life and stared in 3 films together: "Come September", "If a Man Answers", and "That Funny Feeling".
   Hope this was helpful!
         Cheers!

QUESTION: the movie i believe is in black and white and not in color. i know i've given vague info but thats all i can remember. the main lines in remember is the man asking the lady- you live in this apartment building? she lies and says yes, then goes inside the building to just any apartment and he asks again- you live in that apartment and she lies again and says yes. the truth is its his building and his exact apartment. im still going to look for the movie you suggested but i wouldnt mind if you double checked. thanks a bunch because i really want to buy the movie if i can find it.

Answer
Good morning!
I know how you feel. :0)
I was unable to find any website that mentions the quote you gave me. However, after further review, I am almost certain that this is the movie you're looking for. "That Funny Feeling" matches your description perfectly and it is not a remake of an earlier film (Which would explain the why the plot is the same and the Colour/B&W issue). I am going to look for this film myself (To double-check) but I am confident that this is the film you are looking for. I will keep doing some research and if I come up with anything else I will be sure to let you know.

If there's anything else I can do for you, don't hesitate to let me know!
         Cheers!

I can answer almost any question relating to any of the Marx Brothers or their films. Their personal lives were, I believe, twice as interesting as their professional personas.

Experience

I have read many books on the subject including the memoirs of the two most famous Marx Brothers, Groucho and Harpo as well as "Growing up with Chico" the only book written expressly about Chico Marx. Also, I have done exstensive research on all of the brothers, my senior paper being on the subject of their lives.
