My husband has always wondered why Jose Ferrer's left hand is bandaged in the movie "The Caine Mutiny".  No reference was made about this throughout the movie.

I too, wondered why.  Couldn't find a direct answer,...but came up with the following:

There's a great internet site for getting info on films,...studio, year, director, cast, music,.....
