Question
My husband has always wondered why Jose Ferrer's left hand is bandaged in the movie "The Caine Mutiny".  No reference was made about this throughout the movie.

Answer
Hi Lourrie ,

I too, wondered why.  Couldn't find a direct answer,...but came up with the following:

There's a great internet site for getting info on films,...studio, year, director, cast, music,.....
plus trivia, reviews, and comments.

Here's the 6th page of comments on "Caine Mutiny", and you'll find one person's thoughts on Ferrer's hand in the 2nd comment.  ( There may be more on the previous 5 pages, or the following pages)  :

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046816/usercomments?start=50

Hope this helps a bit.

Sncerely,
