I have this 2 reel movie called "Dalton's Go Away". Can you please tell me anything about it. It is a movie theater sized movie reel so I have never been able to see it. Who stars in it, etc. Thank-you, Mark Wickstrom

Good evening, Mark!
             I was unable to locate a film that matched the name that you gave me. A search on several different search engines and The Internet Movie Database proved fruitless. The closest I could find was "The Dalton That Got Away" (1960) Starring Michael Connors, Elsa Cardenas, and Carlos Rivas (among others). I could only find a brief synopsis stating that the film is about Emmet Dalton's life after having escaped with his life after the famous shootout in Coffeyville, KS.

I don't know if this is the film you've got or not. You may have in your hands some lost classic! Do you know what year the film was made (if you have the tins they're stored in  they may have a year after the name of the film. OR is there a studio or production company shown anywhere on the tin or casing. If you hold a bit of film (now I'm going WAY back here) up to the light, can you see any kind of picture? (You might be able to find a clue from this such as a film or production credit. However, if the film is especially old it may be extremely fragile and I would not advise this test unless you know how old the film is or if you KNOW what you are doing.

What I would advise you to do (though this may somewhat of a gamble) is see if you can locate a reputable company near you that is able to transfer film to disk or that has the equipment to play that type of reel.
