Classic Film/Do you know the title of this movie?

Question
I saw a movie many years ago about a young girl, maybe 5 or 6 who went to stay with a relative,  an older man who shared an apartment with another man. They were hoarders and on the outside seemed a little weird. But the man was a good man and he and the little girl bonded. In the end it showed the girl leaving to go back to her home. It was a sweet and touching story. I can't remember the name of this movie, try as I might. It looked like it took place in the 1940s, 50s or 60s.

Answer
Thank you for asking this question. In order to pinpoint the movie you remember, I need to know a little more about the film. If you can remember what child actress played the little girl, or the name of any other actor in the film, it will probably be possible to identify the story with a real title. I hope to hear from you again very soon.

Sincerely,
