Question
Want to get the title to a movie starring Clifton Webb in which he plays Mr. Belvedere and gives instruction on shaving to an older man, who tries his instruction and nicks his face all up.  Can't tell you more about this movie, as this is the part that stood out when I watched it years ago.

Answer
Hi John,

Thanks for your question.  I really can't say which of the three 20th Century Fox "Belvedere" films that particular scene was in.  I guess we both would have to view all three to find out,...but unfortunately ( and strangely), none are available on either VHS or DVD as yet.

I don't think the scene was in the 1st Clifton Webb film, 1948's  "Sitting Pretty" ( which introduced the character),...and I doubt that it was in the 2nd film, 1949's  "Mr. Belvedere Goes To College".  However it might have been in the 3rd,..1951's  "Mr. Belvedere Rings The Bell" (about a
retirement home.)

You can check the storylines at :  www.tcm.com,  by typing in each title at the top of the page.

Sincerely,

Jim K.
