Question
I am sorry not to be more precise, but years ago I saw a film which had a long take of a man jumping energetically down a road. I would like to find the film but really remember nothing else about it. I had it in mind that the actor might have been either Danny Kaye or Donald O'Connor, but I may be completely wrong about that. Can you help?

Answer
Hello Mr. or Ms. Anon,

Yes I know exactly what film you're asking about, and who was in it.  It's one of my favorite "little" MGMusicals.

The film was MGM's Musical, "Small Town Girl" released in 1953. ( I believe It's available at: www.amazon.com   on VHS.)
The film starred Jane Powell, Farly Granger and Ann Miller.  The dancer was Bobby Van,...who IS indeed very much like Donald O'connor or Danny Kaye.   ( He did several other musicals at MGM:  "Kiss Me Kate", and "The Affairs of Dobie Gillis.")   You can read about "Small Town Girl"  at:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046330/

AND,...to see the ACTUAL NUMBER, you can go to YouTube !!!!! At:
