I remember a movie where the wife of a research dr. is dying and adopts a little girl who she trains to take care of husband.  There is a scene where the little girl takes the husbands up the stairs to his office.  Can you help me?

I can' locate your film,.....but  the short description you've sent sounds something like the storyline of the 1945-46,   20th Century Fox film,
"Sentimental Journey",  starring Maureen O'Hara and John Payne.  ( I believe it was remade under the title, "A Gift of Love".)   But,  I'm sure  there
wan't a research doctor in it.
