Classic Film/don't know movie title

Question
I am trying to find the title to an old movie. I am pretty sure it was in the 1950s and in black and white. It was about two brothers, and the older one lived in a swanky apartment in New York City maybe and his younger teenage brother came to visit. Both brothers were handsome. The older brother was a real ladies man and all these women would call and come over all the time and the younger brother went out with them pretending to be the older one to learn to be a man I guess. Their mother was in it off and on briefly.I remember this one part where the younger brother goes to take yet another message from a lady on the phoen for his older brother and he opens this metal canister on the desk and it is ful of sharpened pencils (its the kind of holder that we put straws in now). I want to say that the title of the movie was fairly long. Any help would be great!

Answer
Hi Laurel.

Sorry for the delay.  I'm pretty sure the film you're looking for is the 1963 Paramount comedy starring Frank Sinatra, called "Come Blow Your Horn".
It was based on the hilarious theatre play by Neil Simon.  It has a special meaning for me, because back in the '60's, I actually played the younger brother  in a stage production.
