Question
Looking for the movie about a haunted house where the male and  female actress are ghosts cursed to live on the property.  A group comes to stay at the house and help to lift the curse. There is something to do with a well on the property also. I think it stars Bob Hope. Its not 'The Ghost Breakers'. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your question,...and YES,..I think I have the film you're looking for!  At first, I thought it might be the old classic "Topper" film series (similar.)  Then, when you mentioned Bob Hope,...I thought of the '40's films, "The Ghost Breakers" and "The Cat and The Canary".

But, then I remembered the film I saw as a kid in grade school, which starred my favorite comedy team, Abbott and Costello,...in what was one of their Most unusual "comedies".  It was also very dramatic because of the plot.

It's the 1946 Universal-International film, "The Time Of Their Lives",...which includes many well-known actors of the time,....costarring Marjorie Reynolds who played Costello's partner.
