I am trying to find the name of an old musical from to 40's or 50's.  I only saw it once and though the name was "And the band Played On".  It is about either a barber shop or haberdashery over the years.  It had a lot of the old songs, as I remember.  Can you help?

Hello Bruce,

I can't be too certain on this one as that particular song has appeared in many a movie. "Hello Frisco, Hello" from 1943 contained the song and many others from the same era. And it was featured heavily in the James Cagney/Rita Hayworth/Olivia DeHavilland film "The Strawberry Blonde" in 1941.
