I do not know the name of the Movie, I was about 7yrs young about 50yrs ago. It is not the rose of 7th voyage of Sinbad.  This rose  was to wake a sleeping beauty if she were to smell it.  Not put her to sleep.  I seem to remember a pegasis taking the man to a place in the clouds and it was under glass. It was in color so I believe I saw a movie. It was beautiful. It was a romantic tale.
I do not remember any other details as I was watching Sinbad movies at this time. If it is one of them I do not know.

This sounds very much like the 1961 film "The Thief Of Bagdad" which starred Steve Reeves as the thief, Kerim, who had to find the blue rose to save the life of a princess. And, yes, there was a flying horse.
