Question
Many years ago i watched a movie about a fighter pilot who had been blinded.  I think the movie begins with the pilot at a military hospital for rehabilitation.  While there, he meets a woman (waitress?) who befriends him.  Eventually, he graduates from the rehab program and goes back to his old life, only to find that he no longer fits in.  He  reunites with the friend and they begin to date.  She introduces him to her brother-in-la, who is a judge.  The judge is also blind.  This man inspires the ex-pilot to go into the study of law.
I don't know the name of the story or any of the actors in it, but I was very moved by the story and never forgot it.  Can you help me with the name of this movie?  Thank you.

Answer
"Bright Victory"
"Bright Victory"
Hello Joy,

That sounds a lot like, though not exactly like, a film called Bright Victory" from 1951. The man is a soldier, not a pilot, and I think the Judge was a lawyer, but it sounds very similar otherwise. Have a look here......

Glad to be of help.

CommentExactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much. The years (decades) since I had seen the film had fudged some of the details for me. Thank you for recognizing the true story line. Sincerely Joy
