name of a movie  around the 50th or 60th  white women and her husband hes having  a hard time getting out of the closet hes having homosexsual feelings goes to the dr to get treatment and his wife falls in love with her gardener a black man thats living with his young daugther i think sidney poiter work on the movie not sure... please i need the name of the movie thanks

Think you may have two movies mixed together.. the plot you describe is from Far From Heaven, made in 2002, but that movie was a remake of a film called All that Heaven Allows, made in 1955. They did NOT include the homosexual subplot in that 1955 film, of course, and the gardener was NOT black, due to all the racial tension in the 50's... but look up these two films and see if they are what you are looking for...
