Mel,

Perhaps you can help me. I once saw an older movie from I'm guessing the 60's or 70's and it was about two married people who have a lifelong love affair. They meet annually at the same location for a weekend. Sort of like "Brokeback Mountain" but heterosexual.

Hopefully you can think of the title.

That sounds like the 1978 film "Same Time Next Year", which starred Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn.
