Question
I am trying to find the name of an old movie I saw on TMC (I am 99% positive) a few years ago and IMBD and Google searched haven't worked much.

It had a title similar to The World Baby or along those lines. It was about a bachelor who was somehow connected to the United Nations and somehow a baby was dropped off or left at the UN for adoption. All the representatives wanted to raise her in their country and while it was being sorted out the main character was tasked with keeping her and determining which country would do the best job raising her. Various countries kept sending people to convince him that they offered the most for the girl.

It is driving me nuts that I cannot remember the exact name or find it so some help would be awesome!

Answer
Hi Melissa,

Thanks for your fascinating question.  I Found the film you're looking for! (Though there's No "world" or "baby" in the title,..that's certainly what the movie is all about.)
It's the 1964 comedy "A GLOBAL AFFAIR" starring Bob Hope.  You can get the full details at:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058145/
And the film Is available on (a used copy of) VHS, for $19.95, at:  www.amazon.com.

Sincerely,
