There is a movie with a plot about a boy who I guess goes to live with an uncle, the boy is scared of the uncle. This movie has a great light and camera shoot. The boy is looking at his uncle, the camera is shooting from angle coming from the boy height.  The shoot from the uncle is angle from the uncle height looking downward at the boy, given the impression that he is to be feard.

  That scene you describe sounds like a scene from Orson Wells "Citizen Kane" where he looks up at his uncle who is very cold on christmas morning and it is shot from the boys angle as you mentioned. You may want to check that movie and see if it is the scene you are thinking of.
