I really like The Amityville Horror(1979).What make it so scary is that it is supposed to be a true story.But some say it is not true.What do you think?I'd like your opinion.Thanks.

  Yes, That is a classic!!! I am from Long Island as well and have driven by that house. sadly, it has been redone for many years and does not look like it does in the movie anymore.
  That has been an ongoing question, Being that the people left the house and all of there belongings were still in the house. I would like to belive they must of wanted to get out pretty badly. There have been interviews with the people who lived there and they contradict each other. some interviews say it didn't happen, some say it did. I know there were alot of rituals on the island many, many years ago so i do not doubt it was possible. The current owners have never complained of any odd occurances but there was a supposed resemblence to the previous owners and the guy who killed his family. That will probably always be a mystery but will always make the movie a classic. There is rumor that they are remaking the movie as well.
