Classic Film/Army skeleton

QuestionI really need help finding this title. The star of the film favors bruce campell. The only part of the movie me and my father remember is: A skeleton dressed in army clothing is chasing the main character around his house. The main character goes into one of his closets and sees the death of one of his old army buddies. I'm guessing they fought in war together and he witnesses his death. I believe the skeleton who is chasing him in the home happens to be the friend who dies in the war. I remember a scene where the main character is hanging over the side of the house and the skeleton is stepping on his hands trying to make the main character fall to his death but he stabs the skeleton in his stomach but he has nothing to stab for he is a skeleton and he pulls up his shirt and takes the knife. Oh and in the closet was a jungle and the bath room cabinet too. It's kind of a horror comedy movie
I know I sound crazy now, but i really need help finding this movie.
AnswerHello Liz,
The film you are describing was called "HOUSE". It was a horror/comedy produced in 1986 that starred William Katt and George Wendt.
Here's a story outline:
"Roger Cobb (William Katt), a Vietnam Vet, is a successful novelist who is currently struggling to write his new book about his experiences in Vietnam. He is dealing with a number of emotional challenges all at the same time; a recent divorce and the disappearance of his son at his dead Aunt's old house. All these things start fraying at his psychological health, and he's not coping well.
What's haunting him most of all is the guilt he feels over an incident while he was serving in Vietnam. His buddy is wounded, and requests that Roger kill him. But Cobb runs for help and his buddy is captured, to suffer torture as a POW.
Roger decides to stay in the old house to get away from things and concentrate on his novel. Almost immediately strange and bizarre occurrences start to happen. Roger sees the ghost of his Aunt who warns him to leave and, when he opens a closet, is attacked by a slimy monster. Things become worse as Roger is attacked by flying garden tools, fat ugly monsters, mini-demons, and "Big Ben", a skeleton of a soldier. He starts to investigate the house and becomes convinced that the answer to finding his lost son lies within, if he manages to survive!"
You will find a link to the film at the following site. Just click on "House" in the menu running down the left-hand side.
