Question
I'm trying to locate a film that brings back fond memories -- "Charley's Aunt."  It includes a song I like very much -- "Once In Love With Amy."  I'd thought it starred Ray Bolger but imdb.com doesn't list the film in his movie bio. There also seem to be several different versions.  Which do you believe to be the definitive?  What's the best source for purchasing classic films?  Thanks for your time!

Answer
Hello Patricia,

The reason that you couldn't find it at IMDb
was that when the 1952 movie version of the 1948 stage musical "Charley's Aunt" was made, they changed the title to "WHERE'S CHARLEY".

Ray Bolger starred in both the stage and film versions and did sing "Once In Love With Amy" in both.

It's hard to say which is the best source for purchasing classic films. In general, I would always use amazon.com, but if a film is not currently available, then even they will not be able to supply it.

In that case ebay.com is a good site for seeking out those hard-to-find items that may have been released some years ago, but are not available at the present time.

Glad to be of help. Merry Christmas.....Mel.
