I am searching for a copy of a classic film which was released in Australia in 1946 called 'The Princess and the Bellboy (or Bellboys)' ... can you please help me find it.

Hello Nat,

The film you are talking about was actually called "Her Highness And The Bellboy". It starred Hedy Lamarr, Robert Walker and June Allyson, and was produced by MGM in 1945.

The title may have been changed for the Australian market, or, as the main character was a Princess, it might just be that you remember it slightly wrongly.

Unfortunately, I can find no evidence that it has ever been issued on VHS or DVD. So, it is very unlikely at the moment that you will be able to purchase a copy.

Your only chance might be to keep looking on www.ebay, where the most unlikely things turn up regularly.
