Classic Film/Movie Title

QuestionI am looking for the title of a movie that I believe was from the 1950's. It is black and white prison movie about a woman who is on death row, and she's about to be executed. She is innocent and someone is helping her to prove her innocence before the execution. In the movie the viewer knows the prisoner is innocent. If I remember correctly, the execution takes place and then the proof of her innocence is found.
AnswerHello Bonnie,
That sounds like the Susan Hayward Oscar-winning performance in the film "I Want To Live" from 1958. It was the 'loosely based-on-fact' story of Barbara Graham, a woman of dubious moral standards. Two men she knows murder an older woman. When they get caught they start to think that Barbara has helped the police arresting them. As a revenge they tell the police that Barbara is the murderer. Sentenced to die, the suspense is heightened by a deadline-induced outcome that will either be black or white, all or nothing, life or death!

Glad to be of help. Cheers.......Mel.
