Hi Andrew

I dont know if you can help me. I hope you can.

I am trying to find the name of a film that scared the hell out of me when I was a child, but I only have certain memories so please bear with me.

What i can remember is that there is a kid and he lives with his mum (not sure whether there was a dad!) and they dig up the back garden and find a box which contains a ventriloquists puppet. Now Im sure he was bold and wore a Monocle.

All I can remember about the film is the puppet was evil and started talking to the kid at night telling him to do bad things. The puppet made knifes float around the kitchen after the kids mum and made it so the kid could see it on television. Im pretty sure there was a toy that looked like R2D2 that was alive as well and was good.

I really hope you can help me this has been bugging for me for years. I think it was made around late 70's early 80's

I appreciate any help with this.

Regards

Jason

THat is the link to it. It is called Magic and it has Anthony Hopkins in it.  That link is from amazon.com, if it does not work just type in magic-anthony hopkins nad it will bring it up. Let me know if that is it or not.
