Classic Film/Title

QuestionI saw this old black-and-white movie, I'm thinking it was made in the 50's, but I can't remember the title. It's about this doctor who works at a reformatory school for girls and he helps change the bad conditions there with the help of the female counselor working there. I remember some of the characters, one was named Dolores and she ended up hanging herself. Another girl had a baby that she gave up. I hope you know the title or if not you could tell me how to find it. Thanks!
AnswerHello Rachael,
That was a "B" movie from 1950 called "So Young, So Bad".
Story Outline: A reform school for girls is run just like a prison, and even worse, by Mr. Riggs (Cecil Clovelly) and Mrs. Beuhler (Grace Coppin). They have no regard for the girls and have them working in a potato farm and in a laundry. Dr. John H. Jason (Paul Henreid), a newly arrived psychologist, and nurse Ruth Levering (Catherine McLeod) decide to change things around and treat the girls better, allowing them to wear normal clothes and have dances, and no working with potato's or the laundry, in the hope of teaching the unfortunate young women that they have a chance at healthy lives. Anne Francis played the role of Loretta Wilson, a young girl who was married, had a baby, was abused by men, and is a very sexy mean sort of girl who falls in love with Dr. Jason. Rita Moreno played the character Dolores Guererro.
Glad to be of help. Cheers........Mel.
