Classic Film/black and white short

Question
Comments: I am looking for the name of a movie that my husband and I saw several years ago on a classic movie channel. The movie was a black and white short film. It was an adaptation of the nativity story, in which the main characters, Jose(?) and Maria, go to a small hotel/restaurant in the middle of the desert and are taken in by the innkeeper's wife. The innkeeper does not want them there, but the other patrons and the innkeeper's wife all pitch in and help Maria bring her baby into the world. It also had a scene in which 3 cowboys who were travelling saw the star on the motel's sign and stopped. Any help in finding out the title and the year it was produced would be appreciated. Thanks!

Answer
I believe i may have found your movie. I contacted Turner Classic movies for some help and they have a movie that fits what you are describing called "The Star in the night" made in 1945 by warner brothers. I hope this is the one you were looking for, if it was not let me know and i will the search going.
