I am looking for a movie that I had seen around 20 years ago--it was a movies from the 70's--the part of the plot I remember was that there is a PTA meeting at a high school and the students chain the doors shut while their parents are trapped inside. then the kids start setting fires in the parking lot
not sure of who was in it, but i do remeber the last scene is a kid on a bus heading for jail
any help I would appreciate--I have been thinkg about this movie for several years

That was a 1979 movie called "Over The Edge" which starred Matt Dillon.

"New Grenada is a planned community set in the desert where there is nothing for the kids to do, other than a recreational centre, which closes at 6pm. The parents, in their efforts to attract industry to their town, have all but neglected their children. As a result, the kids begin to create their own entertainment, which involves drugs, theft, vandalism, and general hooliganism. During an incident when one of the kids brandishes an unloaded gun at town cop Ed Doberman, he is shot and killed. Following this incident, the kids lock up the school, with their parents, teachers and cops who are holding an emergency PTA meeting inside, and run amok in the town, trashing the school, burning cars, setting off explosions etc."
