A man's formal topcoat changes hands several times, affecting the lives of each wearer. One robs someone, one shoots a amn from jealousy. It ends with money falling from the sky onto a dry cornfield and a scarecrow with poor, hungry black people looking up at it smiling, knowing God had anwered their prayers for help. Thank you!

Not having a lot of luck so far with this.... can you tell me anything else about the movie? When it was made, was it American or foreign, B&W or color? Do you remember any of the actors in it, or if you've seen an actor from it in anything else?

The plot you describe sounds remarkably like a series that was on Showtime a while back called "Gun." It followed a revolver in the Old West from hand to hand, and how something would happen to everyone that held the gun. Kind neat, actually...
