Classic Film/A movie from my youth....

Question
I saw this movie when I was on vacation with my family almost 15 years ago. I have a feeling it was a made for TV movie from possibly the 70's or 80's (maybe even the early 90's), but I cannot be certain. All I can remember is that there was a scene in a grade school classroom where they're having a Halloween party in costume. One of the little girls from that classroom was murdered. I think there was another child years later who had visions of the murdered little girl. I remember a scene where the boy is in a graveyard and the little girl is there surrounded by light. The song "don't sit under the apple tree with anyone else but me" was the favorite song of the killer, who ended up being an older gentleman aquatinted with the boy's family. I think he was a child himself when he murdered the little girl. I think there was also something about a woman in white who was actually the murdered girl's mother. Does this ring any bells?
