Question
hi,in wizard of oz ,i really can't understand what dorothy had learned when the withch asked her what did u learn? here it is what she said but i really don't understand
Well, I -- I think that it -- that it
wasn't enough just to want to see Uncle
Henry and Auntie Em -- and it's that -- if
I ever go looking for my heart's desire
again, I won't look any further than my own
backyard.  Because if it isn't there, I
never really lost it to begin with!  Is
     that right?

also how the wizard overcomes the problems of her friends?

Answer
Hello,

What Dorthy had learned was that everyone she cared about and everything she wanted was right in her backyard. Its basically saying to appreciate what you have in your life and not always wish for something more.

The wizard knew that the tin man, the lion and the scarecrow had in them what they thought they were missing but needed something to make them realize that. it gave them the self confidence in themselves that they needed. The scarecrow was always smart but didn't really know it, now that he had a diploma he had a reason to believe he was smart.

Thats a great movie, really enjoyed your question
