AboutSkeeter Expertise I can answer general questions about rock era bands, record labels they were on, and names of songs. Often I can tell the name of the record company that released a song, as well as the name of the song, and the year of release based on some of the lyrics. I grew up during the rock era and I am a musician myself, and always read the album and 45 info for production credits as well as lineups. One of the chat rooms I go to is quite amused at my ability to name a song along with it`s year of release and record label. I was also a record collector for years.
Question What was the group that did Mary Anne and There She Goes. This is driving me nuts!
Answer I mostly know music from when rock was happening. I am not as familiar with music from about 1980 til now. When rock fizzled I pretty much turned my radio off.
BUT, there is a song called Mary Anne by the Hollies, that was a sixties song. The hook line is "Hey Mary Anne, what's your game now, can anybody play".
The other title doesn't look familiar. I did some research on it and found that there is a song by that name that has something to do with "sixpence none the richer", I don't know if that is a band name or what.
Some of the lyrics are :
There she goes
There she goes again
Pulsing through my veins
And I just can't contain
This feeling that remains
