Classic Rock/romeo and juliet song
Expert: Skypiper - 1/24/2008
QuestionI have been looking like crazy for a song title and and artist. I believe it is from late 70's early 80. The song starts "Romeo and Juliet" (then a slow beat) I also remembe either TAKE ME HIGHER or IM ON FIRE. I think it might be a female vocalist.
AnswerHi, thanks for the question. The song is called Fire and i believe it was originally done by the Pointer Sisters. Bruce Springsteen also does a version of it too. Please rate my answer. Below are the lyrics.
I'm riding in your car, you turn on the radio.
You pullin' me close, I just say no.
I say I don't like it, but you know I'm a liar.
'Cause when we kiss, ooh, fire.
Late at night, you're taking me home.
You say you wanna stay, I say I wanna be alone.
I say I don't love you, but you know I'm a liar.

'Cause when we kiss, ooh, fire.
You had a hold on me right from the start,
a grip so tight I couldn't tear it apart.
My nerves all jumpin', actin' like a fool
Well, your kisses they burn, but my heart stays cool.
Romeo and Juliet, Samson and Delilah.
Baby, you can bet, a love they couldn't deny.
My words say split, but my words they lie.
'Cause when we kiss, ooh, fire.
Hot kisses like fire. I like what you're doing now, fire.
Fill me up with fire, touching me burning me with fire.
