Question
QUESTION: OK, I HAVE THESE LYRICS THAT KEEPS ON POPING IN MY HEAD, I NEED TO KNOW THE SONG AND ARTIST I KNOW ITS FROM THE 1980'S ROCK GENRE BECAUSE I'M A  ROCK JUNKIE THE CHORUS SAYS"LEAD ME ON,LEAD ME ON" ! PLEASE HELP ME, I NEED TO KNOW THIS SONG.

ANSWER:   I pretty much turned the radio off after about 1981,  rock was a parody of itself during the 80s so I am not really familiar with music after rock died.
 But some rock era artists were still recording during the 80s, and still are,  Eric Clapton has a song called "Lead Me On Lead Me On",  which might be the one you are thinking of.
 If that is not the song, feel free to contact me again and I will do some research to see if I can find it.
 But again, most of my knowledge is about rock era artists,  as is most of my research resources.

QUESTION: thanks, but thats not it, i think it was more toward the hair band time,chorus "lead me on,lead me on" it is a slow song, and that chorus is like in a high pitch voice. thanks i hope you can help !!!

Answer
 You might be thinking of a song by YES.  I think it would either be on on either the album "90125"  or "Big Generator"  but I can't remember the name of the song.
 I think in the song "Lift Me Up"  there is one place where the backround vocals repeat "lead me on" ,  that might be the one I am thinking of.
 Some of the lyrics are:
Lift me up and turn me over;
Lead me on into the dawn.
Take me to the highest mountain;
Tie me up, love in a storm.
Have you decided on my fortune?
Facing the future in your eyes,
With your imperial behaviour
We fight amidst the battle cries.

I can answer general questions about rock era bands, record labels they were on, and names of songs. Often I can tell the name of the record company that released a song, as well as the name of the song, and the year of release based on some of the lyrics. I grew up during the rock era and I am a musician myself, and always read the album and 45 info for production credits as well as lineups. One of the chat rooms I go to is quite amused at my ability to name a song along with it`s year of release and record label. I was also a record collector for years.
