Classic Rock/Can't remember band or name of song

QuestionHi, I can hum the tune from this song but the only lyrics I remember are:
"We have got to get it together, we have got to get it together, now" and
"because the revolution's here, and you know it's right....... and you know
that it's right." I've searched iTunes and the web with every possible
combination but I'm coming up empty. The song is from the mid to late
60's as I recall. Thanks for your help.
AnswerHi and thanks for the question, The song is originally by Thunderclap Newman called Something in the air. Tom Petty also has a great cover of the song too. Below are the Lyrics. Please rate my answer. Thanks
Call out the instigators
Because there's something in the air
We've got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution's here, and you know it's right
And you know that it's right
We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together now
Lock up the streets and houses
Because there's something in the air
We've got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution's here, and you know it's right
And you know that it's right
We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together now
Hand out the arms and ammo
We're going to blast our way through here
We've got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution's here, and you know it's right
And you know that it's right
We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together
