Sorry about this one. I have very little information to go on. I just heard this song (part of it anyway) while watching "Talk to Me" (movie about Petey Green). I remember hearing this song when I was a kid - maybe 10 or 12 (60's or early 70's). Grand Funk Railroad comes to mind for some reason but I have no idea what the title of the song is or who actually played it. I have a feeling that the word "time" is part of the name. Anyway - this is the clue: percussionist hitting what sounds like a "cowbell" to produce a tick-tock-tick-tock sound. If I remember correctly the tempo started out slow and then sped up then the vocalist utters the word time and more lyrics which I can't remember and the music starts. Towards end of song tick-tock tempo slows down. That's all I have! Thanks for any help you can offer!

Thanks for the question. The song your talking about is called Time Has Come Today and its by The Chambers Brothers. There are two versions of the song. The album version is about 11 minutes long. and the radio version was shortened to 4 minutes long. Please Rate My Answer. Thanks again. Lyrics are below.
