I hear this song every now and then on the radio, its a guy singin it and I'm pretty sure it's classic rock but I can only remember the chorus. The lead singer says I say yeah, then the background singers sing yeah. Its fast paced also. "I say yeah, yea, yeah ,yea
You almost definitely are referring to a song called Mony Mony.I feel safe in assuming the version you have been hearing is the cover version performed by Billy Idol about twenty years ago.It is an f.m. radio staple.The original is from the late sixties,by Tommy James and the Shondells.Just google mony mony and you will get thousands of hits on it.I saw Billy Idol in the late eighties,and this was a crowd favorite.If I can be of any more help,please let me know.
